StepUP Overhaul customers who select either a Step 2, 3 or 4 overhaul package can elect to receive
cash back
in-lieu of the free Power Protection Plan extended service coverage. Customers who select a
Step 1 Basic Overhaul
automatically qualify for $100 cash back as there is no free extended service
coverage available. The cash back is
usually provided as an invoice credit by the servicing outlet at the
time of purchase and the amounts vary depending
on the overhaul package selected:

Customers whose engine is either older than 10 years or has logged more than 1 million miles
(1.6M kilometers) and have a
Step 2 Super Overhaul or a Step 3 Complete Overhaul performed are
only
eligible for the cash back option. This is because the
extended service coverage is not available for
engines in this category. If your customer's engine falls in this range, but they want
the peace-of-mind that
comes with extended service coverage, encourage them to consider a Step 4 reliabilt® Replacement Engine.
These engines are completely remanufactured by
Detroit Diesel which allows them to be offered with a 3 year/300,000 mile
Power Protection Plan under the StepUP Overhaul program.
